According to Steam’s current statistics, the game is heading strongly for the milestone of two million active users at the same time. The highest peak so far is at 1,984,278, so it will not be long before we see that milestone being reached.
This is an impressive number. Even more impressive is the fact that it hasn’t been long since the last time we were reminded of PUBG’s remarkable development. Exactly a month ago the shooter was just short of a million active users. This means that the player base has doubled in the last four weeks. It is also important to remember that Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is still in its early access phase. According to the official statement, the number of players is expected to increase even further towards the end of this year.
As is to be expected, the game is currently facing some server issues caused by the high numbers of players. Hopefully the developers can get them sorted.
