Ever since Razer acquired Nextbit Systems (a mobile phone manufacturer) in January, there were rumors that they might be preparing their first smartphone together. The manufacturing will cost between 3 and 5 billion dollars according to Bloomberg. We don’t have a release day just yet but it is said that the platform used will most likely Android.
In an interview with CNBC, Min-Liang Tan, the CEO of Razer, officially confirmed that his company is building the first Razer smartphone. Razer expects its shares to be made available to the Hong Kong public, which will happen at the end of the year. This way, it will receive additional funds to finance the construction of its first Smartphone.
