Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced through their Twitter account that Overwatch has beaten the 35 million players mark. How exactly this number is distributed on individual platforms, however, remains unknown.
The Overwatch community is constantly growing and that’s is evident by the fact that it has increased its player base by five million users within the last half year. However, it had somehow already been shown that Overwatch could become a great success. Only one week after the official release, the hero shooter was owned by seven million players while after just four months it was at 20 million users. Among other things, Overwatch is responsible for the upturn of the publisher Activision Blizzard and contributes to a large part to the overall turnover.
